For the past five years, Mirova Foundation has developed a philanthropic approach based on a strong conviction: while financial support is essential, it is not enough on its own to strengthen nonprofits in a sustainable way.
This is why the endowment fund has structured its action around a Venture Philanthropy approach, combining multi-year, unrestricted funding with non-financial support to address nonprofits’ development needs and strengthen their long-term impact.
This approach is built on three key principles:
- Comprehensive support, combining financial backing with capacity building through the expertise of specialized partners;
- Unrestricted funding, allowing nonprofits to allocate resources according to their priorities, whether for project-related or operational needs;
- A long-term commitment, with support lasting at least three years, fostering trust-based relationships and enabling lasting transformation.
A support pathway built with expert partners
To address the key challenges faced by nonprofits, Mirova Foundation has developed a non-financial support pathway covering several areas:
- Business model, financial management and strategy, in partnership with France Active;
- Artificial intelligence and digital transformation, through the involvement of Mirova’s IT teams and the Accenture Foundation;
- Leadership support, including programmes focused on management, human resources, leadership, soft skills and mental health, in partnership with Ticket for Change and Sillages.
Today, 92% of the nonprofits that have benefited from this support say it has been valuable (Mirova Foundation 2021-2026 Impact Report), reinforcing the Mirova Foundation’s commitment to further expanding and strengthening these initiatives.

Strengthening business models and supporting cash flow management – our partnership with France Active
Through our long-standing partnership, with Mirova Foundation being France Active’s leading private philanthropic partner, we offer the nonprofits we support access to collective training sessions and one-to-one coaching with France Active experts. These programmes help organizations strengthen their business models and improve cash flow management.
Supporting the women and men leading nonprofits – our partnership with Ticket for Change and Sillages
While financial challenges are critical, they are not the only issues nonprofits face. Nonprofit leaders carry increasing responsibilities and workloads, which can affect both their own well-being and, ultimately, the sustainability of their organizations.
Convinced that the long-term impact of nonprofits also depends on the people who lead them, Mirova Foundation has expanded its non-financial support by introducing a new dimension: supporting nonprofit leaders themselves.
With this objective in mind, Mirova Foundation has partnered with Ticket for Change and Sillages.
- Ticket for Change
In 2026, Mirova Foundation is funding four places in Oasis, Ticket for Change’s programme specifically designed for nonprofit leaders.
Oasis provides a confidential space where participants can step back, break out of isolation, exchange experiences with peers, reflect on their leadership role and strengthen their ability to support their teams, without any reporting or evaluation requirements.

At a time of uncertainty, joining this initiative was an obvious choice. It is urgent that we care for the women and men who sustain the nonprofit sector in order to ensure its long-term resilience.
- Sillages
In 2026, Mirova Foundation is funding five to six individual personalized coaching spaces for executives or management teams.
Sillages, which specializes in the tailor-made support of committed structures and their leaders, offers individual support for people looking for spaces for strategic reflection to be better equipped in their daily lives and their position as leaders.
Through these two partnerships, Mirova Foundation pursues a simple ambition: to support nonprofits in every dimension of their development by investing not only in their projects, but also in the women and men who make them possible.
Supporting the digital transformation of associations
With the support of Mirova’s IT teams and the Accenture Foundation, we offer to our supported associations to inquire on the challenges of artificial intelligence and on its wise use in their daily lives. In 2026, we also plan to support some of our associations with specific tech/digital needs.
