“If we opened people up, we’d find landscapes.” Agnès Varda

This illustration project was born from this quote.

The associations supported by Mirova Foundation are forces in motion. But before they are organizations, they are embodied by committed women and men, faces, journeys, and stories that each carry, in their own way, a vision of the world and a sense of the common good.

The portrait series you are about to discover shines a light on these changemakers. It opens up a rare space: a moment for contemplation. A moment to look differently.

Through these portraits, the intention is to reveal both inner landscapes and on-the-ground commitments. Because action never emerges in isolation. It takes root in deep convictions, in an awakened imagination, in a desire for transformation that connects the personal to the collective.

Celebrating the five years of Mirova Foundation also means acknowledging the journey accomplished and making visible those who shape it, alongside other ambitious, supportive, and deeply human projects.

These portraits tell that story: behind every commitment lies a sensitive vision of the world. Behind every action stands an inner strength. A moment to look differently. Recognizing others through their talents, their uniqueness, and their sensitivity. Offering, in a world driven by urgency and constant movement, a pause, poetic, vibrant, and necessary.

Magdaleine Pertusier, Care Designer

“My work always begins with listening. An attentive, demanding listening, to understand the people I walk alongside, to welcome their stories, and to perceive what seeks to emerge.

In each portrait, I sought to reveal what lies beyond the faces: the inner strengths, convictions, and imaginaries that set action in motion.

Driven by the belief that dreams are a source of momentum and energy, drawing these portraits means making visible that sensitive dimension, often left in the background, yet essential.

My journey has led me to place my creativity in service of the common good, particularly within the non-profit and philanthropic sectors, where projects carry deep human challenges and strive to generate meaningful impact.

These portraits were born from this conviction: lasting transformations in the world also begin within the inner landscapes we carry within us.”
