Mirova Foundation and Watt For Change have selected 7 new projects to promote green energy in Africa

Since 2021, Mirova Foundation and Watt For Change, the endowment fund of the VALOREM Group, have launched a partnership to jointly finance a program for access to green energy worldwide. Once again this year, the two endowment funds continue this commitment and announce their support to 7 associations.

These projects contribute to the sustainable improvement of the living conditions of more than 33,000 people, by facilitating access to care, education and training, while supporting the development of local employment in Madagascar, Senegal and Benin.

• ARTISANAT SOLIDARITE NORD BENIN – NORTH OF FRANCE: To promote access to decent employment for young people in social difficulty through vocational training and the electrification of two literacy centres – Village of Cotiakou and Siégou, Benin.
• Diaspora: installation of a laundromat powered by photovoltaic energy – Village of Khoulé, Senegal.
• Solidarity experts: Structuring of two agricultural sectors and upgrading of energy infrastructure – municipality of Antranokarany, Madagascar.
• Water without borders: Facilitating access to drinking water and improving health infrastructure in schools and health centres – Sédhiou Region, Senegal.
• The partnership: installation of a solar platform to support the socio-economic development of the village of Lougré Thioly in Senegal.
• IECD: Strengthening energy autonomy and improving living conditions in boarding schools – Matsiatra, Madagascar.
• VIA SAHEL : Development of a photovoltaic agroecological farm – Kaguitte, Senegal.
